Department of Medical Education Research Associate II The Department of Medical Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking to fill multiple Research Associate II positions. The Research Associates will serve a dual role performing research on the National Institute of Health (NIH) grant and teaching students in the Latino Health Science Enrichment Program (LaHSEP). For the NIH grant, the Research Associate II will conduct focus groups of participants and participant families in the LaHSEP, focus group responses will be transcribed, analyzed, and prepared for journal submissions. The Research Associates may be called to perform literature reviews, comparing and contrasting current literature against the findings from the LaHSEP’s focus groups. As a secondary function, the Research Associates may advise the pre-college students on appropriate Hispanic Center of Excellence (HCOE) programming tracks, helping the students to match program tracks that meet their educational goals. In addition, the Research Associate may be asked to teach classes associated with conducting research, developing research methods, and educational classes related to college admissions. Bachelor degree in social science or related field required. A minimum of one year related research experience.
