ON CALL SUBSTITUTE CUSTODIANS Seeking dependable individuals to work in a part-time custodial sub pool. Position is in a union environment. Ability to work varied hours/shifts (6:00 am – 2:30 pm, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm). May be up to 40 hours/week, but hours are not guaranteed. Locations of work sites vary. Job Duties (include but not limited to): Cleans, sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors in rooms, stairs and stairwells by hand and/or machine. Cleans, sanitizes surfaces in rooms, offices & restrooms. Restocks restrooms as needed. Moves equipment and furniture. Collects and disposes of garbage. Shovels snow & spreads salt on steps and walkways. Performs related duties as requested or assigned under general supervision. Some work may require use of ladders. Work may require heavy lifting/moving of objects (approx. 50-70 lbs.). Long periods of standing, walking, climbing with sustained periods of light to moderate duties that require physical exertion. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Exposure to varying work conditions and environments (wet or humid, chemicals, airborne particles, hot/cold temperatures and fumes). Minimum Qualifications: One (1) year experience in custodial, building maintenance or general labor. All applicants are required to pass a Biometric federal background screen. Wage $14.15/hr.
